Tataindicom services is one of the major player which provides wireless internet connection in india. Tataindicom data cards are also providing decent services in many areas of india. These data cards are comes with two things. One is hsdpa data cards and other is not hsdpa data cards. Also, they are providing pcmcia data cards. pcmcia data cards are very slow as compared to other ones. Because pcmcia data cards only gives speed upto 144kbps which is only for surfing. Even the surfing will be very slow in this data card. Few months back i went to tata indicom local shop. Which is near to my place they are giving me data card (pcmcia data card) unlimited free usage in 700rs. Which i thought very costly. Because the speed of this data card is not even good for surfing how you can buy this for 700. Now other players and tata also giving hsdpa data cards in same rate.

Tata indicom data cards are coming from 2000 indian rs to 3000 rs. Because you can also buy old data cards from the customers who wanted to sell them. I also have one 230 kbps data card which i wanted to sell from reliance data card. These days people are buying high speed data cars which provide connectivity of more then 2.5 mbps. But there is no unlimited plan is available. Both in reliance and tata indicom both are not providing unlimited plans. But in future surely they will throw some unlimited plans. because major players are coming in the market. Like all companies like airtel, vodaphone, doccomo, reliance and other provider are providing gprs internet at very low cost. So, you are using pcmcia data cards better to use gprs. Both have almost same speed.

Downloading Speed Of internet data card

I noticed one thing if you have vodophone gprs which is alomst giving the same speed like pcmcia data cards. Downloading speed is even more then pcmcia data card. tata pcmcia data card gives speed of 5kbps on the other hand vodaphone internet gives 15kbps even in 90 rs per month recharge.

Bsnl data card: Bsnl launched its 3g services in india. You can use 3g with sim only. I was thinking to buy. micromax data card and use bsnl sim in it. but it is not possible because bsnl is still costly. They are not providing decent pricing as compared to other countries like US and UK. Some times i feel high speed internet in affordable price is still not in common man pocket in india.

At last tata plans are good. You can use internet any time a day. But even plans like 500, 600, 700, 900 are not giving you complete freedom of usage. You can use few gbs in this.
